Dinner Confessions

Some nights I am just to tired to fight over dinner. Yes I know I have already confessed the whole Ramen thing. Tonight was just one of those nights. I have reached a new low. This has been a favorite "treat" of mine for some time now. Tonight however, it became dinner!

WAIT! It gets better! This is what we put on them!

WAIT! This too!!

Of course we all got a good dose of the Flintstones Vitamins for desert. WOW! OK! Boy I feel better after getting that off my chest. Maybe now would be a good time to ask for prayers for good health. Did you noticed it was the "Reduced Fat" peanut butter? Does that make it any better?

IN THESE ECONOMIC "HARD" TIMES

My kids have to endure my listening to Fox Business Channel when its "mom's turn" to watch the TV. I guess some of the resent discussions of the economic "hard" times has rubbed off. This is how my children are helping J and I save money.

They ask for this stuff at least 3X's a week! I give in once a week...OK maybe twice! I think I am still trying to recover from living on this stuff in college. YUCK! I don't even like the smell of it. But on the good side its only $.17 per bag, ready in 3 minutes and when I give in to their request I get to eat Frosted Shredded Wheat! YUMMMM! Now that sounds good!

Is there any nutritional value in Ramen? I'll just have to give an extra vitamin on those nights!

A-POP-A-LIPS AND PEPPER ALLEY

I Love to hear how my kids interpret words they hear. E1 is 13 and will sometimes say in a moment of sarcasm (wonder where she learned that?) "It's a sign of the apocalypse!" E2 must have been trying to process this for some time. On our way home from school a few days ago he asked, "Mom, what's the a-pop-a-lips?" We still laugh at this! Once E1 explained how to pronounce the correct word and what it meant, E2 thought his interpretation was pretty funny too!
Today E3 answered my daily question of "did you have fun today?" with a "YES MOM! We had a pepper alley today!" That must have been one "hot" pep rally! Go UCS!
Got to love my gang! They keep me in smiles!
